Change company name from Szwak i Spółka to Epta Advisors

We are pleased to announce that as of today (May 12, 2026), our company has changed its name from Szwak i Spółka Sp. z o.o. to Epta Advisors Sp. z o.o..

This change reflects:

  1. a refreshed identity as part of the Solwers Group, which we joined in December last year
  2. the expansion of our services into business advisory, particularly in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and due diligence processes for companies of all sizes

Solwers Plc is a publicly listed company on the Nasdaq Helsinki First North Growth Market. The group consists of 29 expert consultancy and planning companies, primarily operating in engineering, architecture, and project management. Solwers employs over 700 professionals across Finland, Sweden – and now also Poland.

With the investment in Epta Advisors, Solwers is now able to offer professional accounting, HR, and payroll services to the planning and consultancy sector in Poland.

Fun fact: the name Epta comes from the Greek word hepta, meaning the number seven. In many cultures, seven symbolizes completeness, balance, and thoughtful decision-making – often associated with knowledge, analysis, and comprehensive understanding 🙂

Interestingly, this change is implemented on the 17th anniversary of the company (1 for Szwak, 7 for Epta — effectively since 2009). In short, we’ve been here for you for 17 years — and plan to be for at least the next 100.

We are Solwers

December 18, 2025, is an important moment in our history.

We are pleased to announce that Szwak i Spółka has become part of the Scandinavian Solwers Group, a group of expert companies listed on the Finnish stock exchange.

Solwers is a growth-oriented group of 29 specialist companies employing over 750 experts operating in Finland, Sweden, and Poland. The group creates space for the development of its companies, while taking a modern approach to traditional consulting models.

By joining Solwers, we have retained our existing management and working methods, which have been building our organizational culture for years. At the same time, we have become the group’s first company in Poland, supporting Solwers’ further development in our market.

The new structure gives us the opportunity for faster growth, a wider range of customer service, and access to experience and proven solutions developed in an international environment, while maintaining efficient and direct decision-making processes.

With new energy and even greater commitment, we remain at your disposal.

How to prevent unauthorized transactions in an enterprise

In today’s edition of Rzeczpospolita, we give recommendations on how to prevent unauthorized transactions in an enterprise, and how outsourcing accounting and financial services affects transaction security. “Entrusting the process to qualified specialists, using tools that digitize financial processing, who can develop security algorithms, minimize the risk of theft and mistakes and protect management from liability. Such skills are possessed by financial and accounting centers, which achieve this by, among other things, using the latest technologies combined with years of substantive experience of advisors. Companies offering outsourced services”.

PrimeGlobal conference in Amsterdam

On November 19-22, 2022, a conference organized by PrimeGlobal – an international association of accounting and consulting companies, of which we are a member, was held in Amsterdam.

The company was represented by the Management Board – Arkadiusz Szwak and Karolina Walczak, we were among over 160 participants of the event from 27 countries.

We worked on maintaining the position of one of the leaders in digitization at GUT and the development of our International Accounting Center (IAC project), i.e. the implementation of our model and work tools in accounting firms from other countries, whose first participants are Prime Global members from Georgia and Spain.

For 4 days, 70% of the time was filled with talks, workshops, substantive and partner discussions, and 30% was filled with lectures on a wide range of knowledge (global information on economics, mental, a broader view of yourself and teams in terms of strengths and weaknesses, opportunities in digitization, in which as a company, in the opinion of other members from Europe, we dominate.)

Admiring Rembrandt’s works in the Rijksmuseum together with several hundred accounting firms, combined with visiting the Paralympic sports center, allows you to look at the capabilities of your teams in a different way and teaches you to adjust expectations to capabilities.

Relationships with 136 representatives of 60 companies from 27 countries increase our experience, thanks to which we implement our IAC (International Accounting Centre) project, in which, using the accounting service model and digitization tools (www.spicesolutions.pl), we combine accounting firms as principals and subcontractors from different parts of the world (we work for accounting firms from Spain and Italy, accounting firms from Georgia and Romania work for us).

One of the aforementioned discussions ended with an interesting twist – keep calm and do your job!
With this slogan, we return to everyday work, which thanks to such meetings we look at from a slightly different perspective and we are preparing to participate in this year’s PrimeGlobal conferences in Croatia and Singapore.

An entrepreneur asks about tax costs? Use our tips

No one, not even the tax authorities, has an exhaustive list of expenses considered as tax-deductible costs. Economic life is simply too rich. However, we have prepared an exemplary list with experts, using extensive case law in this area and interpretations of the head of the National Information Service. In it, we suggest what expenses can be included in tax costs, which can not, and which may be the subject of disputes. Accounting offices should have such a cheat sheet at hand, because it will allow you to quickly solve customer doubts.

Regulation of 7 January: without dilemmas in the budget

Due to the legal chaos that caused Polish Ład, accountants are wondering which regulations to apply – the PIT Act or the regulation of 7 January this year on PIT advances. They are afraid of responsibility for not applying any of these legal acts. Can budget accountants have this type of dilemma? Can we choose whether we must apply the implementing rules on the march, even though we know that there are legal doubts about them?

For Dziennik Gazeta Prawna we comment on the introduced changes. This article was published on January 19, 2022 and is available here.

Accountants: there has not been such chaos for a long time

Some accountants are already manually converting PIT advances according to Friday’s regulation. Some are not able to do this because they have too many employees (companies) or clients (accounting offices) and are waiting for changes in payroll programs.
